Toby Castles
I am an artist, teacher, and PhD candidate at UNSW Arts, Design and Architecture, UNSW Sydney. Beginning in Media Arts, my practice evolved into mixed-media installations using video, sound, and photography. My focus now centres on leveraging the capabilities of immersive technologies in art contexts, particularly VR, AR, and MR. My work explores the fragility and embodiment of interpersonal relationships and the memory of place, creating immersive environments that provoke the human imagination and transport audiences into other virtual worlds.
